One Minute of Fame 2009
Semi-Finals
Hello people! The semis are over,
here are a few snap shots at Millenia Walk.
Pardon my vibrating camera, pictures happened to be blur
because cam is old and this calls for a new ixus please....
anyway,
so heres a quick rundown, the 24 semi-finalists performed,
consisting of 12 indivs and 12 group contestants.
However, only 7 indivs and 7 groups will get into
the grand finals.....
this was taken in between performances
I was so so so surprised when I saw
this lady judge's name appeared on my one min of fame script.
She is an executive producer in Mediacorp,
and she is none other than the one who
came down to my primary school and auditioned all my school girls
for we are r.e.m when i was pri 6!
hahaha that was how I started off in the
media industry 7 years ago.
And there! she was sitting at the judges table,
I talked to her a lil
and she was surprised to see how tall I've grown and
looked so different from the chubby and spec-y girl
she auditioned many yrs back!

discussing the scores
interviewed the group- top priority
and fantastic fiveee
backstage moments,
getting briefed...

from My Classmates dad...the 2 boys!

once again, a big congrats to all grand-finalists.
I know every single one of the contestants
worked very hard and showed us
what they've got.
For those who didnt make it through,
please dont feel disappointed because
you all are winners alright! :)
btw, the grand finals will be telecasted on tv- okto
on national day 9th aug, sun at 11am.
however, the filming of the grand finals
will be on 1st aug in mediacorp studio,
I'll be there too...
Can't wait for it, I heard the theme will be Circus...

Groom Azfar's Room Ep 5
(Behind the scenes)
Attention!
Azfars' Infantry Command Post theme room
was groomed within a 2 days span.
The room turned out to be pretty awesome!
Because his room was quite spacious,
so there were many ideas to put in.
We also had our shopping day at
IKEA tampines, where i get my weekly calling for hot dogs.
hahaha but this time, Azfar's shopping cum filming day with me
was slightly different.
I had really bad period cramps throughout the day.
I couldnt really stand straight most of the time
or smiled to him or the camera like how I usually do.
And my understanding director, Vika, noticed that
the chirpy me seemed a lil in pain.
So she tried to speed up the filming process
by feeding Azfar with some lines
so he wouldn't have to re-do our takes many times.
It was really nice of her :)

The first day of grooming was better for me!
So we quickly got into our army mood and
shoot shoot awayyy....
Nasi Lemak is one of my favourites,
and it was really nice of Azfar's mum to prepare
lunch for us :)
I have no clue what Vika was doing here hahaha,
but uncle Rahim was busy doing the mural
And we had a lil fun exploring the map during lunch break,
there I am pointing at my home town, East Coast.
a group shot with Azfar's cousins, his family were really supportive,
they came down early and brought more food/goodies for us.
And Vika behind us, being her usual self haha :)
So Azfar's featured wall was made up of decals and Rahim's paintings.
Azfar and I looking happy to see the room 3/4 done
on the last day of grooming.
This was taken before the reveal scene....

hahaha i look ghostly man...
We made those guns during the DIY segment,
and spray painted it black.
Turned out pretty cool....
and the tentage is up, as u can see :)
oh dear, that wire was for.... hahahaha!
more coolio stuff from DIY
Victor my camera-man had to wear the mask,
because with all the spray-painting going on in the room
to give that army effect on furnitures,
the smell was choking...
It wasn't easy for the crew to film while
the spray-painting process were done....
And even after it was done, the smell usually lingers
until the next day or sth....
But of course, the spray-painting effects plus paint
turned out really good.
Do you wanna know how Azfar's room turned out?
He and the groomers worked really hard for it...

Groom My Room Ep 4
Behind-the-Scenes
Kitty meow meow was good company during the 3 days filming with Daarin.
I was a curious cat, sitting down during breaks while watching the other cat's behaviour.
Till today, I still wonder why cats are rather temperamental and aloof...
And not forgetting the theme for this week's contestant is a chemistry lab!

Sunkiss Smiles
A late afternoon dip never felt so good...
Despite the re-openings of sec schools, sissy had a week of holiday/e-learning
due to the Asian Youth Games held in her school.
lucky bugger zzzzzz
so we camwhored a bit more....
and more...haha
While i laid down on my back and
floated on the surface of the water....
I thought to myself and
wished things went my way.
I wished such things were easier to handle.
I thought it would be easy but never knew
it will be so much of a mental battle.
Nevertheless, God is still very good.
He was, is, will be and I'm confident of that.
No matter how long and tiring the road will be,
I know he'll be there for me...
p.s enuff said, i gotta tuck in early tonight, ep 9 of GMR filming tml...

Quarter finals of OMFFFF
oh boy, we were briefed upon arrival, I
changed into sponsored clothes and before we knew,
we were up on stage for 3 hours straight.
Quite an experience I must say,
here are the pictures!
right before we went on stage- wai kit and me.
about 30 mins before the show started, it started to get real crowded.
here are some of the group contestants,
this year we had all kinds of performances
with the exception of latin dance and those ballroom dance.
where they do the 1 minute clocking for each contestant (out of 40)

played games while the judges tally their scores.
as we yak yak yak away...
more games and prizes...
my 3 favourite filming crew dudes from oktooo
the contestants had to gather at the waiting area,
right before the semi-finals results were announced.
dannyboy :) was the guest judge.

THE results, each quarter finalists get a lil sth.
only 24 out of 40 contestants will get in to the semis.
of cos, online voting counts too!

After the event, we had to stay back for a bit to do OMF hosting links for okto.
goofing around on stage haha!
Hosting OMF was pretty happening, thanks to the hyped up audiences.
Also, the adrenaline rush on stage was A-mazzing!
However, 40 contestants were a lil too many to handle,
especially during the results round.
Anyway, if you are free on 11th july,
do drop by the Millenia Walk at 2pm to watch the semis,
once again I'll be there..... so see ya!

GMR Ep 3 Behind-the-Scenes
So Sparsh episode was a lil different,
he wanted an Inventors workshop theme.
so check out this lil indian boy's room :)
Sparsh enjoys doing/fixing all
these electronic kits.
oh boy! its tough as hell for me.
The only cool part is using the smouldering gun to melt each end-pts.
voila! his room with a lever fixed on the wall,
together with a timeline of his favourite inventors!

Now I gotta change and head down to Millenia Walk

GMR Ep2 (Part II)
Hihi One and all, heres more behind the scenes to Bev's room!
second and last day of groomminggg...
As they started to assemble the new furnitures and put on the decals,
we have plenty of time to camwhoreeee awayyy...
I really wanna get an IXUS camera, or maybe lumix?
Not too sure though, any suggestions??
My 3 and a half yr old sony camera is weird, it vibrates in my hands nowadays.

Pity she didnt win the 100 bucks cash, we finished like half an hour late :(

Groom Beverley's Hill
Heya earthlings! Here are some behind the scenes shots of episode 2.
This week's contestant wanted sth creepy and halloween was the perfect theme for her room!
But somehow beverleys' california girl image doesnt scream haloooweeeen at all!
Shes one interesting girl to work with!
check out some pics we took :)
I found a perfect place to get party and haloween stuff,
everything's real cheap there :)
I also had a good deal for the lava lamp I bought while filming!

cheap cheap decos, I likey very much!
I visit tampines IKEA practically every week for GMR filming,
hahaha no doubt we've filmed at every single corner in IKEA!
And each week, I put on a few kgs on their ever-so yummy meatballs
and cheap hotdogs :)
as u can see, ikea can be very peaceful on weekdays morning...
then we were back at Bev's for more filming with Uncle Rahimmm

As part of our green idea segment, the girl did some hands-on.
